The WebVoyage maintenance plan costs CHF 100 per month and is billed every six months. What the CHF 100 maintenance plan includes
A website is not finished on launch day. It needs a server, a valid certificate, regular updates and a backup in case something goes wrong. Then there are small edits: new opening hours, a different photo, a line in your price list. The maintenance plan bundles all of this into one fixed monthly amount. You know in advance what website maintenance costs, and you never have to deal with the technical side yourself.

Website maintenance cost and billing
The plan costs CHF 100 per month. We bill every six months, so you receive two invoices a year of CHF 600 each. Over a year that comes to CHF 1'200 for hosting, SSL, updates, weekly backups and edits to text and images. There is no hourly meter running in the background. Whether you send one change in a month or none, the amount stays the same.

Term and cancellation, with a worked example
The plan runs in terms of six months. You can cancel with 45 days' notice before the end of a term. If you do not cancel, the next six-month term begins. There is no month-to-month cancellation, and there is no commitment over several years either. Notice periods are easy to misread on paper, so here is an example with real dates.
Your maintenance plan starts on 1 March. The first term runs until 31 August. If you want to stop at the end of August, your notice must reach us by 17 July at the latest. That is exactly 45 days before the term ends. If your notice only arrives on 20 July, the plan runs for another term, until the end of February.
Website hosting in Switzerland with Infomaniak
Your website is hosted by Infomaniak, a Swiss hosting company headquartered in Geneva. Infomaniak runs its own data centres in Switzerland and states that the data it hosts is subject to Swiss law. You can read this on infomaniak.com/en/about. According to infomaniak.com/de/hosting, its data centres are also ISO 27001 certified.
The hosting account is registered in your name, not ours. As part of the plan, we make sure it keeps running. In practice this means your website sits on servers in Switzerland, and you always know where and with whom. Every WebVoyage site is also built to comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, in German DSG).
What you can edit yourself, and why the plan still pays off
From the Business package upwards, you get your own editing area. There you change text and images directly on the page, without any coding. Guard rails stop the layout from breaking. Once you save, the change goes live automatically. New opening hours or a daily menu are something you can handle yourself, whenever it suits you. The Starter package has no editing area, so edits go through us.
The editing area does not replace the work behind the scenes, though. Server, SSL certificate, updates and backups keep running whether you edit anything or not. That is exactly what the maintenance plan is for. Time matters too: if your working day leaves no room for the website, you send us a message. And if someone deletes something by mistake, there is a weekly backup.
No subscription: edits at CHF 75 per hour
You do not have to sign up for the maintenance plan. If you prefer no subscription, you order individual edits at an hourly rate of CHF 75. That works well if your site rarely changes. How hosting, SSL, updates and backups are handled in that case is something we agree with you before launch. In the first month after launch, edits to text and images are free of charge in every package.
In the Ultimate package for CHF 2'199, the maintenance plan is already included for the first year. Ongoing edits to text, images, opening hours and new sections come with it. For comparison: Business at CHF 1'449 plus one year of maintenance adds up to CHF 2'649. Ultimate therefore saves you CHF 450. After the first year, you decide whether to continue the plan. Everything belongs to you, and you can switch at any time
After launch you receive every login: the domain, the hosting account in your name and the complete code of the site. With Business and Ultimate, the login to the editing area comes too. With traditional agencies, the domain and the site often stay with the provider. Not with us. If you move to another provider later, you take everything with you. You simply cancel the plan with 45 days' notice before the term ends.
